the range is pretty disappointing for a mini-van. i want this thing for road trips, but seems like you’d be at the charger every other hour.

The 05 Phaeton W12 had an MSRP just south of 100 grand. The Arteon is 45-50k depending on spec. VW hasn’t limited themselves to budget cars in a long time. And frankly no VW is a “people’s car” anymore - the demand constant thorough maintenance beyond what most Japanese cars require, they eat oil like it’s canapes at…
but it’s hard to deny that the ID Buzz is not a lovely piece of design.
“BTW the reports are that the Optimus robots were 100% remotely controlled.”
Elon dog and pony show.
“says that unsupervised FSD will come to current Tesla owners in California next year”
First Gear: Anyone who watched last night’s Tesla event and is an investor should be concerned. From the delayed event kickoff to the poor production values, to the ridiculous claims, it all screams low-rent high-grift. I cannot fathom for me how investors can take him seriously with all his bloviating and “corporate…
Exactly - the people who think that electric cars aren’t good for the environment don’t care about the environment anyway.
1st: I listened to a detailed story on this topic, and the point they made in the story is that most people who are inclined to say that EVs are less good environmentally are not really in the market for them in the first place, so they aren’t really doing any reading besides seeing a random headline here and there.
exactly. People cried foul when Porsche introduced the Panamera. Now, not anymore.
yeah my FZR 400 (inline 4-pot) would rev to 15K and my friend’s CBR 400 to 18K. Even my ancient AW11 MR2 is good for 8K off the factory floor.
So does the Cosworth V12 in the GMA T.50 and T.33, and the engines in the Red Bull Valkyrie and the AMG ONE
Some other exotic cars do this too, most of the new cosworth V12s going into the crazy limited stuff like the T50 will rev well past 10k. Even the Honda S800 from the 60s could rev to 9500 or 10k or something like that.
Not before charging them $40 to park there and laughing even more.
I feel like Jaguar died when they canceled the F-Type. A sports car company with no sports car has lost its raison de etre.
Your CT does not believe in hesitation. Your CT believes that real leaders make bold decisions and move forward. Your CT believes in you. As a result, the accelerator may or may not disengage when the brake is depressed if your CT believes that stopping will leave you short of achieving your full potential.
The first time it was mentioned it was hyperlinked to an article that would explain, but I’ll fill you in.
It’s a joking reference to the asinine conservative conspiracy theory that this accident happened because of DEI hiring practices or because of the new “woke” Infrastructure Act. That’s obviously ridiculous either…
Both can be true, and in this situation that is exactly the case.
It’s all slightly more complicated than that... This is from another comment on a Gizmodo article..
No kidding. There were so many caveats in that PSA, which implies the lack of even one of them renders the whole policy non-enforceable. How about just a “carry a loaded gun, be expected to be arrested” announcement even the simps can understand?
