I agree with you. There are a lot of nice touches that aren’t mechanical that I can appreciate, but all the electronic and motorized features are things that I just see as potential problems.

Besides, the paint color is complete yeesh.”

I’m with you. DD this thing to the ground, LS swap, repeat.

Either this attorney thinks everyone is an idiot who will believe this hogwash about “criminal intent” or he’s the only attorney not to have understood a single thing in first year law.

That is 100% correct analysis. But it doesn’t change people wanting something designed more by emotion than market research.

Four doors don’t actually add that much weight, but they do add a lot in terms of broadening market appeal, so sadly they make sense. That said, it would be nice for Honda to have one “fun” car “for the kids” that could compete with BRZ and the American muscle cars, and Acura could have something to compete with the

I’d say ~200 HP from a 1.5l turbo for the base, 272 HP from the 2.0 for the Type S. If Acura is really pushing it though and trying to win people back, they’d go with the 2.0 in the base and the Type S would get the 355 HP V6. That seems like a longshot though.

Prelude was my first real car too. I miss that one. It would have been nice to see Honda come out with a BRZ competitor and bring a little of that NSX excitement to the masses. I imagine Integra is trying to do that with a “four door coupe” but it’s not the same.

2-door: probably not

Maybe it wasn’t explicit, but that color scheme and profile is 100% Eddie Lawson.

Wait, it was a mom driving? Missed headline opportunity for Lucky Mother Trucker.

As a former GPZ900 and KZ1000 rider I can say this has no appeal for me. Kawasaki retro bikes peaked with the Eddie Lawson ZRX 1200.

It’s long in the tooth the tooth now, but the Dodge Durango was a big improvement from the previous generation. I had one as a rental once and was surprisingly impressed.

It was a product of its time, which was malaise-era. Taking that into consideration, I think it’s actually pretty good.

“The time” is all about CUVs, so to be ahead of it, it makes sense that many cars on this list would be too.

Now playing

I believe the XF has a hidden manual release. I vaguely remember this was a thing that some Jalopnik writer had to access (maybe driving a test car?) to get a tow. I found this video which applies to a newer car but IIRC the same type of system is available in other Jaguars;

Actually the two are about equal in terms of cargo space; the Corvette is just 12.5 cu ft and the Jaguar is 11 cu ft. But the Corvette’s measurement is a total of trunk and frunk, so it’s not as usable as the Jaguar’s contiguous space. Also, the Jaguar goes up to 14.5 if the privacy screen is removed so it does offer

Not as bad as Land Rover!

Seems strange to me that “All safety features performed as intended.” Even my far-less advanced car has automatic braking in the case of immanent collision. If the Rivian has that too, then it means that was overridden by the driver.
