I agree that they are works of art and I have long aspired to own one. But I thought they were around $200,000 not $2,000,000. I mean, it's all fantasy money but even if I won Powerball I don't think I'd spend $2 million on a Singer.

Start adding decent ingredients and a little more effort, and eventually I think this ultimately results in a chicken parmesan calzone.
I think there’s some legitimate culinary theory supporting this; apple and pork are a well-known pairing, so at least what you’re describing makes sense. And Fieri’s creation is really just taking that flavor combination and putting it in a giant pig-in-a-blanket, which is another classic. Of course, Fieri has just…
Everything tastes good with bagel spice!
Thanks - I didn’t realize that. Seems somewhat arbitrary, if ultralights can be VTOL though.
It’s been years since I thought about learning to fly, but when I was exploring it I was most excited about the Sport Light category. If I remember, that category can be heavier and longer range and can carry at least one passenger. I wonder why they didn’t pursue that class — or maybe they’re going to that with…
Agreed. I share Mercedes’ love for small quirky cars but they really don’t have much of a point. Street parking is really the only advantage. I will say there’s a guy who works in my neighborhood for whom the IQ is perfect; he’s a handyman or carpenter and parking is always tough in my neighborhood but he always finds…
I did forget about it, but thanks for reminding me! I love that they actuallly made that.
I guess the difference is between enjoying it and being proud of it. I can enjoy my car, but I don’t think I take pride in it because I haven’t contributed anything to it that makes it special or deserving of pride. It’s like food; if you’re rich you can order a nice meal and enjoy it, but taking pics and posting on…
I don’t think you get my distinction - paying for a restoration still involves a lot of decision making. It’s not just about money.
I actually think a project car is a good idea. I’ve never understood people who just buy something that’s already nice and are proud of it - all it shows is that they have money. Actually doing the restoration (even if you’re just paying for it) at least adds a personal touch that can be a point of pride.
I think it’s more about what the typical toppings for hotdogs are regionally, and for New York which lays claim to the invention of the hot dog, that becomes an important point. So yes, when visiting New York you should have a New York style hot dog, at least once. Then you can top it however you choose - my current…
The legal theory for this would be that it’s a “regulatory taking” and a violation of your 4th amendment rights. I don’t think it’s a winning case, but that doesn’t stop people from suing if they have the time and the inclination.
I don’t think that the people who paid thousands for a Delica or other import car are focused about the $35 registration fee…
If someone doesn’t have easy access to charging, I don’t think that person is going to be buying an electric car, no matter what the range. I’m one of those people myself - I live in NYC in an apartment and street park my car. I bought a new car about two years ago, and would’ve loved to buy an electric car, but there…
I don’t think people care much about range number as long as it’s above 300. Sure there will always be the folks who want to talk about their cross country road-trips and how they wouldn’t sit around for hours charging, but I’d say for 90% of folks 300 miles is about the max that they go for weekends away or Christmas…
Sic semper sciuridae.
That thing’s a mess compared to the Telluride.
