Also, not a cookie, but my holiday food gift for neighbors is toffee. For years I made all the cookies I listed above and spent hours and hours baking them only to give them away. Now I only make cookies for family, and use this simple toffee recipe for neighbors;

I have three must-make cookies for x-mas;

Yes, I think that’s exactly right. He can’t claim gas, insurance, and repairs as expenses and then think that he should also be getting the reimbursement rate on top of that.

Instead of taking the headline and running with it, let’s do some math; the guy drives 50k miles a year in a Sonic that gets about 30 mpg, so that works out to about $3500 a year in gas. He has spent $6k on maintenance, but that was over 4-5 years, so call it $1500. He paid extra for insurance, paid a few bucks for

I know parents who have kids with severe peanut allergies. Their lives are not easy. But they are not guarding their kid against sniffles, they’re guarding them against anaphylactic shock and death.

Everyone here is obviously on the side of peanuts, but I think characterizing parents concern astrying to shield the kids from an aggressive gust of wind that might cause them to get a sniffle” is minimizing a real danger. Peanut allergies are severe and often deadly.

I would assume the word “cracker” is an onomatopoeia - a chewy cracker wouldn’t “crack.

Big Ruckus wasn’t nearly as cool as the little one.

Thank you. It was the high point of my day.

I think we can all understand drowning our pain in cheese.

This is where the English have us (Americans) beat; the ambiguity of the word biscuit.

Yeah, I had my Honda something like 7 or 8 years before I replaced the tires. Granted I only drive 5k miles a year, but still. Cars should come with tires that are up to the task, and shouldn’t require that new car owners spend $1k to get their vehicle to optimal performance.

I want to fix a couple of cosmetic issues”
