I find this weird, given your first amendment. I have never been able to understand how that works. Here our head of state is also the head of the church, and yet absolutely no one takes religion into account when voting. Weird stuff.

Haddaway an' shite! is the first thing I think of when I see the name, and I'm not even a Geordie. I just used to read a lot of Viz.

I like that as a description of Smaug too.

Again, I guess I didn't make it clear- I think people not wanting to wait for stuff could be accommodated by the industry offering better structures for them to pay for the stuff.

Er no, I clearly didn't express myself well. I think the industry should find better ways for people to be able to pay for things.

I find both of those easier to fathom than Suits. Suits! Who on earth is still watching Suits?

He looks much hotter than I expected. I totally would.

You could feed a lot of people with 140 million fingers.

There are not!

potential spoilers in terms of speculation:
well as TV tropes points out, people have naturally expanded the term from its original fanfic meaning. And I'm sure no one is seriously saying that JJ and the other writers wished they were a perfect saintly gorgeous woman who also had unlimited powers and so shoved her

Well again it's a woman who's all that - and who turns up in those guys' universes and whom those guys fall madly in love with. Writing her is the most natural thing in the world, but for some reason, readers seem not to like her.

People talk about Gary Stus, but I guess you hear that a little less. As it's a fanfic term for an author insert, and most fanfic writers are women, it makes sense sadly that you see more of the female kind. And the kid in Star Wars isn't one.

She's not a Mary Sue. What's wrong with everyone? Up until about a week ago, everyone knew what one was, and suddenly no one seems to. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/…

I watched Home Alone with some girlfriends recently as none of us had ever seen it, and one of the ladies' boyfriends had been talking to us about it all week. It was weird, I kind of laughed at some of the slapstick but it wasn't quite what I expected.

I'm an idiot!

Meek's Cutoff and Jauja!

Oh my god, Fassbender is so ludicrously hot in Fish Tank. I feel terrible for thinking that, but the camera definitely lingers on his shirtlessness so I think it's designed to make people like me feel uncomfortable/guilty for fancying a creepy character.

I've had a crush on him for 20 years, I think he's honestly my longest running celebrity crush.
