Really sorry to hear about grad school. I hope there are other options that come along.

Agreed. I think Last Resort is really great too, although they're all so different it's hard to make direct comparisons. A while ago I tried some of his documentaries which was another world again. Just bizarre stuff.
The Force Awakens so I can finally read the internet again. I can see all the problems people have, but I don't care, I thought it was terrific fun, exhilarating even. I'm not much of a Star Wars fan, only ever seen all the others once, etc, that must have helped. The cinema was full, of course it was, it was Star…
I wanted them to kiss. We need more old people kissing in movies.
yes, then again so are, I dunno, The Big Bang Theory and 2 Broke Girls.
Happy birthday!
Pawlikowski is great. He's had a super interesting career.
you need to watch it every week.
It is a specific reference - it's older than Star Wars even. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/…
Heh, interesting you should say that - actually, I think the opposite. I've had fun even rewatching the last two M:Is, and still found the action thrilling on a rewatch, but five minutes after both Spectre and Skyfall I'd lost interest and have never thought of going back to either. I found things in M:I like the…
For sure, they're so much more enjoyable.
I think this time they need to tell the origin story of how they came to get their powers etc. that should do the trick
I sort of like dark and gritty and all that but I agree that not every film has to follow that aesthetic. I guess at least for fun there's the last 3 Mission Impossibles, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man, in many ways Star Wars - I think there are quite a few that get the balance right, they aren't all idiotic fun but…
This news saddens me. Then again, lowered expectations always lead to a more satisfying cinema experience for me, so maybe hearing this is a good thing. I'd been thinking the trailers make this look like it would at least have kind of exciting stunts and fit shirtless guys with tattoos and stuff, and be relatively…
New username for someone. Stride Sister.
Who?
Yeah I'm in the UK. I grew up in south London and lived there for a long long time, apart from a few years in other places. But I've moved to the seaside to be a mature student so now I'm enjoying small town life. I think if you grow up in London you see it differently- I kind of hate it to be honest. But I miss it.…
I cannot stand him, so I was biased against him - but I will try to just take him at face value at any rate.
Greer's wasted turn as 'the mum' in the terrible Jurassic World was still far more relevant and less pointlessly stupid than the shoehorning in of the ridiculous Linda Barton subplot.
My local cinema has been running the trailer for months. It's a big release in my terms.
