I feel bad for admitting it, but I really enjoy Scorpion. I look forward to seeing it. It's got all the kind of fun puzzle-solving crazy caper stuff with a scientific basis that I don't have to question cos I'm not a scientis that I used to get from shows like Leverage and Numbers, as Matthew notes as well.

Donna Leon?

you're right, it's not worth it. and holding these opinions at least indicates that someone is an irredeemable shithead and not worth engaging with, so it saves time I guess,

ffs
the bit where it's a power rather than the result of lifting weights was too subtle for them to comprehend I guess. also the woman has zero flab. zero. If she's not good enough, then what hope for anyone else ever?

I'm halfway through a second MA, quite a few years after the first, and I would never have signed up for it if my grades would have been dependent on other people. group projects just would not be my style. So I'm glad not to have them. Some people choose to collaborate on a project, but there's no requirement. (I'm

I know what you mean about the attention span and the fear of losing it, and of course cartoons had a lot less to compete with than when we were kids. But I think if I had kids I would rather have them watching Pickle and Peanut than the kind of more traditionally moralising saccharine shit like Doc McStuffins and

Today is my day for saying 'I stood near that person once' and she's another one, she was doing an appearance and went through a door at the same time as me. Even more beautiful in real life.

This is true, I really liked him in that too. Just as much as Hardy.

It should be out soon, I don't know the date though yet.

It'll be out soonish I think, not sure of the exact date yet. I think he's great too. He has such an interesting career, from Bullhead and Rust and Bone to this year's Far From the Madding Crowd, Suite Francaise, (ed to add The Drop) and A Little Chaos. He's been in a lot recently and it's great.

Carnivale is so good, there's a point where it becomes just absolutely gripping and fantastic and compelling, so do stick with it.

Yes I really liked it for what it was. It's strange to praise a grim sci-fi franchise instalment for its joie de vivre, but I think that's what makes it successful - it got the balance right, for me. I know it didn't work for everyone, but I thought it was so much better than Jurassic World, which was essentially

Disorder also known as Maryland, Alice Winocour's new film which she wrote for Matthias Schoenaerts. This is a fantastic little thriller, really scary and effective. It's about security, physical and emotional, like a lot of thrillers these days, and it's an excellent, twisty, heart-wrenching subject in the right

I tried one episode of Breaking Bad and it made me so depressed I said no more and so basically I am with you on that one.
