Definitely. They send these things out as low-res as possible, with pinhole blackouts on them and watermarks all over them that say 'STOLEN BY [project manager's name]!!' in giant letters.

You totally win. Can you tell the story or is it too much to share on the internet?!

I am short too, otherwise I would have.

It's true, nothing has changed since that book was published in 1939

Sadly, I have much much greater regrets. My life is one big regret at this point!

Yeah it does - I rewatched it the other week and still really liked it. I think I fell asleep in Chronicles of, but people talking about it makes me want to try it again.

I enjoyed that film, it was nowhere near as bad as I was expecting it to be.

And Radha Mitchell!

I just read that Suchet said in his autobiography that Ustinov suggested him for the role. And there's only one Poirot short story he hasn't done an adaptation of.

He is fairly short, he's like 5 foot 8. The rest is acting! He can do acting.

I want to see it again now. In a double bill with In the Bleak Midwinter. (I wonder if that one stands up or is atrocious now that time has passed?)

If anyone can fill a film with amazing character actors, it's Ken…

Ustinov was my first screen Poirot that I saw, but when I saw David Suchet I realised he was the closest to how I'd imagined him.

Well, my friend got a Christmas card from Chuck D once!

I first loved him when they did Fortunes of War together, I loved that series so much. And then Henry V was my favourite film for ages.

Well, when it comes to English-language content going into other languages at least, it's usually specialist agencies that do the work, rather than the studios. of course these try to hire qualified people but budgets have come down a lot recently, and a lot of work is going out of territory to subcontractors

Eeeee this is ridiculous but I love it.

really the quality or otherwise of translations is more to do with the importance the studios put on them, which is to say not as much as they should. I can only really talk from experience about subtitles, and by extension the preparation of dialogue lists for dubbing actors to use, but they have the assets ready far

And Rhona Mitra kicking some space punks' arses.

Ooh I know. Make it LOST in Space as in Lost as in the island and Kate and Jack and Ben Linus and Hurley etc. Yeah. Space Others. Space polar bears. Space Sawyer!
