Trump isn’t using rhetoric that most people in the military are likely to respect. Inevitably, lots of them will vote for him because he’s the conservative candidate, but civil unrest in the USA will stay limited as long as the military is against the person calling for it.

(I realize after the fact that I wrote this misunderstanding what you said - I worry about that too, and I think there will be some violence after the election, but I don’t think it’ll be all-out war)

I’m happy to help =) This is a particularly scary election, and I have to stay on top of my fear, too. Good thing there’s evidence out there to stop the anxiety spin-out.

I was scared about a “civil war” until I talked to my brother, a moderately sociopathic conservative who’s a career military dude of relatively high rank for his age. He doesn’t support Trump, and he seems to be of the opinion that most of his peers in military leadership don’t, either. Trump supporters might try to

Don’t worry; like everything else this fecal Midas touches, it will eventually turn to shit.

Fun! (just to be clear: very not fun and I’m sorry you had to go through that)

I wish more actors would do stuff like this. But what armchair Hollywood Insiders on the Internet seem to usually say is that actors’ jobs depend on their willingness to look the other way on stuff like this. At least that’s what people seemed to be saying around the time that awful Roman Polanski petition was going

Speaking for myself: I like a man whose style is less overwrought. It seems like he’d spend about an hour or two more getting ready to leave the house than I do. Plus I don’t think blond is the color for him. I can’t even tell what he actually looks like with all the hair and makeup and nonsense.

Counterpoint: that dude’s hair is not great

I know. They’re the first against the wall when the fatvolution comes.

They don’t sell plus sizes, so any evil they do comes as no surprise to me, TBH. Maybe it’s unfair, but that’s my ethical barometer for most clothing companies.

Show me on the doll where I made allegations against Hillary.

I have a story, but it’s really similar to one of the other stories from a few years ago. It’s a big hit at ghost story time on camping trips, though.

I didn’t get this with my Times yesterday and now I am fucking pissed.

Good intel. Thanks.

I don’t see him doing this - isn’t he more focused on directing movies these days?

Yeah no shit. I’m just saying that I am jaded enough by my experiences to not be surprised when I see this happen - doesn’t matter where. IDK why that’s such a controversial thing to say.

I often hear that kind of anti-semitic stuff when I tell people I’m ethnically Jewish. But I can say for certain that in my experience, white liberals also seem to feel comfortable telling me about the moral bankruptcy of black Americans as proven by rap music, which of course the person speaking has never really

That’s true, and it’s not what I was arguing. I was just saying that white people in any place can be racist. I wasn’t talking about probability.

I’m not saying anyone’s experience is invalid. I don’t understand where you’re getting that from what I’m saying. That commenter asked me to provide sources for what was clearly an anecdotal expression of opinion - i.e., me talking about my experience. I didn’t feel the need to be deferential in my response.
