The only places people had issues getting their cars services is places where autodealer lobbies banned Tesla from servicing people’s cars (for their own good /s). Tesla still services the cars but the process is more run about then it should be.

Why can’t they use local Tesla owned service centers and 3rd party certified shops instead? You make no sense.

Yes, here in the US we use short tons, while in UK you use long tones/tonnes.

Emission credits make up a small portion of their income actually. They do help, but they aren’t much as a whole. Based on 2014 financial data, even if you subtracted the emission credits, Tesla would still have the highest gross profit margins of any US automaker.

New Report Report

Tesla has actually pretty good gross profits. They just don’t translate to net profit because they spend all their gross profits on rapid growth. Growing almost 2X in size every year isn’t cheap.

The thing is, most of the damage to roads is done by heavy semi trucks. So here comes the question, would heavy semi trucks still be used vs an alternative if all cars were not subsidizing the road damage they do?

That is because brand new powerplants use combination of wind and natural gas to achieve the best cost while still being reliant on fossil fuels. They wouldn’t be as thrilled about wind + batteries.

Judging by their age, I don’t think they care. They will never live to see it, and if they do they have enough money to build themselves a bunker that will keep them stuffed for the remainder of their lives.

No, the Koch brothers don’t care much about letting the market demand dictate which technologies thrive. Such as them asking for bailouts from Alaska for one of their oil refineries.

Since always? Take an S-class which is a full sized sedan, it has 112ft3 passenger volume + 12ft3 cargo volume.

It looks like an SUV/CUV/Crossover and has a large interior to reflect that. And of course high ride height. What is there to miss?

You are going to track an SUV? O.o?

It won, but by a pretty small margin.

I just noticed that its a video, thought it was just a picture : /

Is this really a comparison? Tesla by far has the best semi-autodriving. Not only that they constantly improve it via software update.

Not sure what you are talking about but the Tesla is hardly the same car it was in 2012. They had a bunch of major additions.

Yes, there are rumors of a refreshed Model S this year. We will see. But overall 6 years is not eons in car years. 6 years is about 1 generation in car years. (about 5-7 years per generation)

Well not exactly, 200k is for US only. And they have to claim the tax credit. (Not everyone does).

What I think Tesla will do is up the base model of the Model S, by the time the Model 3 comes out. Same thing they did when they removed the 60kwh and replaced it with the 70kwh. We probably won’t be seeing the last of that.
