Nynaeve would be the easiest transition there. Integral to the story, drives the plot, and basically the most powerful channeler when she gets past her block. The character shit Jordan saddled her with is simple to cut.

I think those adjustments could be made rather easily. I would even hazard that Jordan intended it to be more equal than it read and didn’t realize how clearly his prejudices revealed themselves with the three wives, braid pulling, etc.
