I solved this issue with a dab of hot glue. Works great and is easily removable. Leaves no marks.

If you are getting you meat from a can I would recommend pairing it with some cheese from a can as well. All these cans make for easy transport of said foodstuffs to the forest when you can then shoot the aforementioned cans off of stumps...after consuming enough of the beer first of course.
