Lets not overstate things, during the 1917 mutinies the French did convict 23,385 men of mutiny, but less than 50 of them were actually shot. I grant you that's still a lot but not "tens of thousands".

The British really had no choice whatsoever in terms of their obligations already effectively undertaken to France, I've always found this debate to be silly. The territorial violation of Belgium was the justification promulgated by the British government, but the actual reason was that French defensive plans counted

Lookin' Good!

This is a pretty good world, but it's not complete without wallhaxx. Otherwise how do you know what's on the other side of walls before you clip through them?

THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST

Did they get all new producers or something?

C-C-C-C-C-Cocaineeee!

was thinking that too, and was preparing myself with "Ugggh a DnD episode, every show does that now"…total 180 from there to a giant tripping and bashing his head on the table.

I was deconstructing the giant thing that we all do?…

Oh man I never thought of that but I see what you mean now. Of course Adventure time has hinted more than once that Peppermint Butler is some kind of serial killer too…

I thought it was a shot at all the people who still want to venerate Joe Paterno's legacy at Penn State based on the notion that he ostensibly did more good than bad. I figured that was what the statue was all about.

So I'm really glad they showed what side Rick is on though. The problem here originates with the pre-pilot "pilot" short which was super fucked up. As weird and uncomfortable as a plot about an attempted rape is, this is actually a relief to see Rick sticking up for Morty.

My Man!

Sheesh. I really hope not, that would really ruin it (I mean as dark as things are with this alcoholic who routinely endangers his grandson's life, I can only stomach so much darkness). FWIW I feel like they've removed that aspect of the show, though maybe it's Dan Harmon's actor's secret when he's doing Rick.

I was howling with laughter when they ran past a basketball court filled with clipping pop-tart kids shooting hoops. This show is genius.

We need to find a safe district for Nick Cave to run from…

(heh, slow clap)

Nah there was a German movie about Stalingrad just called "Stalingrad". It's super dark, as might be expected.

Well, there is LandWarrior, which is kind of like that but you can't use it to sight your weapons. The complications involved in that are just too high, since thats one system you definitely can't afford to have break at some inopportune moment. There's also concerns about battery life, the inevitable loss of accuracy

It worked for Fringe, but that was also partially to get down to 100 episodes for purposes of syndication.
