Ford Motto " We're not Chrysler ".

Used 2014 Ford Mustang GT used is $20k. It’s faster than the Yaris. Mustang V8 4.8sec 0 - 60mph. New Yaris about 5.1sec 0 - 60mph. Mustang easily available.  Lots of spare parts and upgrade parts available.  I don't get the Yaris hype. Especially at the price point and availability.  

Have wondered the same thing. How much environmental damage does electric vehicle fires cause? Problem will get worse with bigger electric vehicles. Cybertruck,  F150 lightning, Hummer EV. 

Plenty of under 40 people drive Kia Souls in my area. Unfortunately they are easily stolen and difficult to find insurance. 

Tesla having double the repair fees on average is counter to what the cheerleaders mention. Electric vehicles are supposed to save money with low maintenance.  

Locally Kia/Hyundai's not affected by the ignition flaw are still broken into. They still have 6 month waiting period for parts. 

We bought a then new 21' 2dr Wrangler just above base. Difficult to find in our preferred engine with Air Conditioning. Only 2023 and newer Wranglers have standard Air Conditioning. At the time it made no sense to buy used. Pricing was similar with higher financing going used. Final price was about the same. Not bad…

My local cable company converted everyone to Firestick. Easily available. Can be used for anything everywhere.

Old Explorers had transmission issues. Newer ones have carbon monoxide issues. 

Avoid Subaru. Terrible CVT transmission that does not appreciate a little wheel spin. Older Subaru have head gasket and transmission issues. Slow and glitchy infotainment.

Friend put money down for a base Lightning the first day. Dealer says Ford has not made base Lightning models in some time. Is Nissan using their chip supply for high volume high profit vehicles like SUV's?

Some local dealers to me do not have much inventory. Other manufacturer dealers appear to have near full inventory on the lot. Saying all dealers have plenty of inventory is incorrect. 

Its Oregon. Not a lot of crime is prosecuted. For a couple of years it was not illegal to steal a car. If caught the police had no power to arrest the thief. It's only somewhat illegal right now to steal a vehicle. 

Agree with most of your comments. I have been to a few self serve gas stations with zero human workers. They are rare. 

Hopefully it stays reliable. Jeep figured out how to make a manual transmission unreliable with fire hazards.

Forest Service could use funding to proactively remove built up fuel in the forests. People living in fire prone areas could help by removing fire prone vegetation and using fire resistant materials on structures. If the retardant is toxic let's phase out its existence.
