Tesla has infotainment systems that are guaranteed to fail. Recent lawsuit alleges the control arms fail from normal usage. Possible flying glass roofs. No thanks.  

Locally, Mazda dealer is well versed in strong-arm what's it going to take tactics. 

Most parts for most autos are available for purchase. Tesla has very tight controls on their inventory. EE had problems buying Track Brake Pads from Tesla. Want a part from Tesla? Typically need your Vin. Can’t head to Napa or the Auto one for random parts.

Autopilot disengaged 40seconds before the crash. This seems like bad driver drove the Tesla into a Honda.

Try a 4runner. Lift the electric seat to higher elevation. My wife finds it easy to drive.

What happens when the parts car has its own proper history?  Two project cars? 

Undercarriage rust would be the unknown. 

Chevy ASTRO is utilitarian. However, it was rated poor for crash test.

Bought a new 2018 Toyota 4runner. Had the dealer trade another dealer for the specific color and options. Once the vehicle was at our dealership total time at dealership for paperwork was about 30min. 

I use a sharpie on the water pump with month/year of install.

GM must have done something right. Still see plenty of these on the road locally.
