My off-road Jeep is a 93 YJ. There are some bits that are still Jeep. It's great off-road. I have been followed on the trail by Samurais. They are about the size of an old Flatfender. Amazing what they can squeeze thru. The 2003 and up 4runner biggest problem is width. However, they are also safer in an accident.
I thought Ford's official line was the V6 turbo lightweight was better for off-road?
My Offroad Jeep with Solid axle is great Offroad. However, my Daily is a 4runner where IFS is superior. IFS is immune to Death Wobble.
