The F-35 is a disaster, the sooner the entire project is scrapped forever, the sooner the resulting money can be freed up for more effective ways of providing air power.

It’s more of a political issue than a logic one at this point, our government can be immensely stupid, they just need to fund stuff properly in the first place. cancel the F-35 and use the money to find more cost effective solutions to current and future force needs.

I havent seen any reputable numbers regarding the F-35 that have them costing less than $150 million a piece (in aggregate) and every governmental document dealing with the plane (with mention of cost as a by-product) has suggested prices higher than that on our last few years of F-35 acquisition.
