You are an idiot.

You have no idea wtf you are talking about. Any movement beyond the ‘Line of Departure’ by the North Koreans would be met by the complete annihilation of anything that moves. The ‘Highway of Death’ would look like a picnic at grandma’s house compared to the ability of the combined US and Korean forces to destroy the

You are unbelievably ignorant. Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq were insurgencies, a type of war that the US military leadership is hopelessly incompetent at prosecuting. Any conflict with North Korea would be a large scale conventional conflict and no one does it better than us. Any insurgency/nation building would be

The two pieces that can reach Seoul are the 170mm SPA they have, that represents the newest most sophisticated piece of artillery they have (~100 of them) known as the ‘Koksan’ which has a maximum range of 60 km using ‘rocket assisted projectiles’ (and 40 km otherwise):

The North Koreans wouldnt have to declare war, the US, South Korea and North Korea are already at war. The war never ended, there is only an armistice.

Im guessing you have never serves eiter in the US Air Force or any artillery unit and are unaware of the capabilities of both. The Us has the best pilots and artillery in the world, bar none and our ability to put HE directly on target with a CEP measured in feet is unmatched in the world.

There is no way in hell the US would use a nuclear device in Korea, unless the North Koreans used one against South Korea first. The use of a nuke is not a military decision, but a political one and we would have to get permission IN ADVANCE from both China and Russia before we could use one.

North Korea only have around 400,000 trained soldiers, the larger number mentioned wouldnt play into anything but a desperation cannon fodder defense of the capitol city or similar position.

We dont have enough bombers to carpet bomb a carpet store anymore, but we do have a wide variety of precision guided stand off munitions that make saturation bombing an unnecessary anachronism.

Ground penetrating radar satellites:

You overestimate the damage that tube artillery can cause, as well as the number of tubes that could reach Seoul from the closest point in North Korea.

Artillery wouldnt kill millions, that is way too high by orders of magnitude even if there is no warning of the attack. But the deaths would certainly be in the thousands, with billions of dollars in structural damage done as well.

Bunker Busters would be a waste, there are a great many other guided ‘stand off’ munitions that could do the job just as effectively and with less risk and expense than deep penetrators.

North Korea only has a relative handful of artillery pieces that can reach over 15 miles and even fewer than can reach even the outskirts of Seoul. Their longest range pieces (170mm SPA) have an extremely slow ROF that greatly diminishes their utility in interdictive and/or supressive fire and the 130mm towed pieces

I think you are greatly overstating the danger that North Korean artillery poses to the people of Seoul in the event of a North Korean attack. The only tubes that could reach that far are their premier 107mm SPA piece and their 50 year old 130mm towed artillery, in addition to whatever ‘SCUD’ type ballistic missiles

They have the most tanks in Europe (which is great given how fast Russian relations have gone into the toilet), but they have been taking a decided (and disturbing) turn for the authoritarian recently. I love Poland and the Poles, but the whole government over there is kinda scary at the moment.

God, the Sheridan was such a POS, we had them in the 82nd and the guys in that unit used to bitch constantly what a horrible AFV they were. Since you said you were OPFOR, am assuming that you were at Irwin rather than Division.

Wouldnt that be a MiG-35?

Damn, that was too close...

I dont think I am alone when I say screw that scrofulous bag of weasel turds that is the France family and anything that allows them to slurp up additional vast sums of money.
