Jeep replaced a ton of rotors for free on nearly new vehicles. They warped way too easily. And several owners reported having it done multiple times.

The crazy thing is, they initially only changed it in the base models. The hemi cherokees and 300's didnt have this shifter, it was still the “tetris” style gated shifter.

It’s because the trans CPU is ridiculously strict about the car being at a complete stop before allowing it to shift to park. It literally wants to you stop, have the vehicle not move for 3 seconds, and then put it in park.

From someone who got in and out of these a ridiculous amount of times (I worked for enterprise at an airport location), the biggest issue with the shifter is when you’re trying to put it in park. The on board computer requires the car to be at a COMPLETE stop to allow you to put it in park. So why you may feel you’ve
