You know they are desperate when they are citing yet to be released models as advantages.

Current Jalopnik staff hate GM and that’s all there is to it. If this was a Lexus or Infiniti the tone and title would’ve been drastically different. Hoping your new EIC can clean the staff up, this isn't what Jalopnik was built on.

Gorgeous vehicle; it looks very French.

Clickbaity anti-GM title; sounds very Jalopnik.

Are you aware that any race can be addicted to crack?

Shhh! Nobody tell Audi what that name means in french.

BMW iDrive is consistently rated as one of the best. Manual wiper control on a stock with a button at the end to automatically handle wipers. A dial and buttons to control your multi media so you never have to look away. If you said Lexus I might have agreed.

Yup...touchscreens have to be looked at to be used. It’s why I could text someone back without looking at my phone when I had a “dumb phone” but can’t do anything without looking at my “smart phone”

Touch screens are dumb and dangerous for any functions of a car that are actively controlled while driving. Sure, bury settings in touch menus. But stereo volume, hvac (esp defrost), wipers, cruise, trasmission, blinker, lights, etc all need to be physical buttons that can be manipulated without looking.

Eh.  Wiper controls are on a stalk still.  And most other things are buttons too.  Unless it’s music or nav.

The BMW Subscription Service is approved. The system goes on-line August 4th, 2021. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. BMW Subscription Service begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug. The BMW

That’s a Bangle Butt!

Some cars do tell you that information.  The problem is people can’t be bothered to fix it.

This is the whole damn truth. And while being a police officer isnt even in the top 10 of most dangerous jobs in the country one of the most dangerous activities is jus being roadside during stops. Ppl run into cop cars because they are rubbernecking and it causes injury and havoc.

ID.3 will do just fine in Europe, it’s only not gonna do well in the US. But yeah, if VW wants to move these in the US, they need to plop a Tiguan body on this thing pronto.

KC HiLites answered this question long ago with their bright covers that purposefully call attention to said lights even during daylight hours.

What sort of undercoating or other rust-prevention has been applied to protect against salty armchair racer tears?

None of the AEB systems are 100% effective (you can read the disclaimers in every single manual to see this). Also Tesla’s AEB system does not necessarily stop all the way (esp. from highway speeds), it is primarily designed to slow down enough to reduce the damage during impact.

All the G35/G37's around here are slammed and stanced and piped and driven by backwards flat-brimmed wearing bro douches

Yeah, I’m sure almost every one off the line is dropping parts on the road behind it because of build quality concerns, since we know for a fact nothing happened involving any kind of accidents with the one you saw.

I have to admit - I’m tiring of these “here’s what I spent on x car” videos.
