Sorry if I missed it, but are they listing this mileage as empty, or with full payload? Does load not have any significant impact on range? That seems hard to believe.
It’s all driven by market competition. There have been 2 generations of rwd 1/2 series, available as a 4 door hatchback in Europe, competing with the Golf etc.. I consider that alone a miracle. The 1/2 series were always going to lose on interior room and luggage space - that’s the whole reason the transverse fwd…
The difference it being able to feel your way around the buttons before activating anything. When you reach for, say, a volume knob while looking at the road, your hand goes to the general location of the knob, and feels for it. Maybe your finger lands on the track selection button - that’s where muscle memory comes…
It’s not just about keeping things where they used to be. Mercedes used to cram everything onto a single stalk. If the wiper controls were physical knobs on the center console, that would have been fine. The driver would have to get used to their new placement, but they would get used to it, and then muscle memory…
I’m partial to the Boxster font lately. Very playful for a serious German brand.
That's an interesting point. These are based on the w210 chassis, right? When the W210 was in production, the CLK convertible was actually based on the C-class platform, so MB never made a W210 convertible either.

Locks do only keep casual thieves away, but plenty of thieves are “casual”. Something like 30 percent of burglaries occur via an unlocked door. About 50% occur during daytime. People can do what they want as long as they’re informed about the risk, but door locks seem like a no-brainer way to reduce risk of break-in…
Seems like a very mild evolution of the current Sedona. It already had more of an SUV-like snout than any of the competing minivans. And it already shared a platform with the Sorento SUV. That Audi A4 character line that hides shut lines and door gutter is pretty brilliant.
I guess they overhyped this refresh, but the IS is 6 years old right now. The typical lifecycle of this size of car is more like 8-9 years, with facelifts during that time. It's a bit out of sync with Audi and BMW, but the Merc C class has been around since 2015.
That’s a Bangle Butt!
I’ve done this so many times in BeamNG!
I don’t get the appeal of these level 2 systems. They all still say keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel most of the time. If I’m doing all that, I might as well be driving myself. I kind of see the point to cruise control/adaptive cruise, but to me that’s just to relax my leg - I’m still actively driving.…
With the h2 it seems to be mostly because the stock tires are good off-road tires.
Is it just me, or does the H2 hummer seem super overpowered in this game? It’s not exactly known for its offroad prowess in real life. Not a complaint though - in the early game you need every ounce of capability you can get.
If they don’t, someone will.
Oh god, yes. As a BMW person, this pleases me. As soon as they said “inline 6" a while back, I was expecting them to do a new RWD platform. I dare you, Mazda. Do a manual. Go on, do it. Also, what else will they be building on this platform? An inline 6 RX7/8 successor? There can only be good news from this.
YEEEES. I din’t know I wanted it until you said it. Seems pretty likely too, since they insist on setting their games in RHD countries.
Yea, Mazda interiors are pretty consistent. I just have an irrational love for those body-colored door tops on the interior. As soon as I saw their lack in that picture, alarms started going off.
