So glad to see F.E.A.R. on this list. That game is pretty much the ultimate shooter experience IMO. The dazzling gunplay, incredible AI, creative weapons, and dynamic firefights really made a one-of-a-kind shooter. I have yet to see a game replicate the same level intensity as Monolith’s classic.

If my experience with shooters has taught me anything, it’s that FPSs with stylized visuals (TimeSplitters, Borderlands, TF2, Shogo: Mobile Armor Division) tend to be more memorable and/or age better than realistic-looking ones.

I have too many favorites to list in a single comment. But if I had to pick only three, gun to my head, I would choose Chief Thunder, Maya, and Kan-Ra.

As a lifelong fan of Monolith Productions, I’m extremely saddened by the news of Forgey’s cancer.

Kan Ra and Chief Thunder have perfectly tuned theme songs.

Killer Instinct has such an amazing OST. Mick Gordon really knocked it out of the park with this one, and the fact that he’s also composing the new Doom has me seriously excited about id’s latest game!

I don’t see anything wrong with it. Just did the same thing, and it wasn’t in the least bit painful. But that’s probably because I’m so darn flexible (chalk it up to several years of gym experience).
