There absolutely is moderation here, and humans are involved.

I hope she bleeds them all dry

There is yes. But with most game news outlets now only paying a few full-time editors/writers and hiring freelance for petty amounts for the rest of the work. It's not easy to keep a raging river at bay with a malfunded dam.

Me, if you so much as threaten my cats:

And it looks like the hammer is being used.

Kotaku took a few days after he died to say anything about it, and in the meantime some people were going into the comments of other articles giving them shit for it.

Hey Kotaku, Luke, Patricia, et al.

Fun Fact: If he drives in reverse, it makes gasoline!

You’re being pedantic. Cordless has widely been accepted to mean there’s no cord going to an outlet. It hasn’t meant it’s devoid of all/every form of cords/cables/wires. Afterall, your (if you’ve still got one) cordless phone still has a cord going from an outlet to the basestation.  Your cordless drill has a cord

Next, lets put a horse on a treadmill that runs a generator, and tow it behind the car.

“Is your Chevy Volt too efficient, reliable, refined, quiet, or affordable? Have we got the car for you!”

It’s 2008 all over again. Except fake and no meaningful consequences.

Still, thoughts and prayers

This is what I don’t get about the complaints about industry in particular. Credits are worthless, aside from a few expensive freighter upgrades they added recently there’s nothing to spend it on. So people are upset that they hit the credit cap in 12 hours now instead of 6? Truly a modern-day tragedy.

There’s a worrying lack of perspective on this in some of the subreddit comments too. There are people very bitter that their ships have been nerfed and now they have “years of hard work wasted”.

Part of gaming is the fantasy that hard work pays off. Hard work not paying off is the real life thing people are trying to escape from.

“insanely hard work”

“Idk, the patch made one of my spare ships worth half a billion, I sold the thing, money is meaningless now.”

Man I swear I need to pick this up again I haven’t touched it in AGES.

That’s what I’m looking for, is where the money came from. If it didn’t come from BLM donations or budget, if it came from her own work elsewhere, then it’s not a corruption story.

...and? She’s got a 2600 sqft 3/3 in LA. Yeah, it costs 1.4 mil. She spent “thousands” on the backyard? Good for her, I guess? Unless there’s something that indicates the money came from somewhere it shouldn’t have, maybe don’t just jump in on some NY Post article that includes the word “Marxist” in the first sentence
