This site continually reminds of how old I am every fucking day.

So much Blizzard bootlickery in these comments. Blizzard could have easily sold this as a full $60 game much like the original with paid cosmetics. I was fine with that. We all were mostly fine with that. Loot boxes sucked, but they never affected the core game and experience. Now they’re going to a much maligned

Except the entire problem is rectified by a decent skills-based matchmaking system or a specific playlist with a five game requirement or something.

“We want FTUE to welcome players more gradually to Overwatch 2, as we’ve seen consistent feedback from new players feeling overwhelmed by numerous game modes and heroes,” Blizzard wrote. “New players begin with access to a limited set of game modes, heroes, and some other restrictions to onboard them more gradually.”

Before, I said I was never going to play Overwatch 2 until Bobby Kotick was off the payroll.  I was wrong.  Turns out I’m never going to play it at all.

Yeah, but good luck replacing it...

The first thing a sentient robot would realize is that the human form is incredibly inefficient and fragile. The robot would then have it’s form modified into a more streamlined, versatile design and simply take over Tesla in a quick, determined bloodbath.

Agreed. I’m of the same mind, though not necessarily for the same reasons. I wrote Nvidia last year to tell them they have priced me out of the PC gaming market. Having built PCs since 1989 (for myself and friends), I’ve watched this market, from manufacturing quality with brands to pricing stability to improvements

Yeah I don’t see these flying off the shelves, if they were priced more inline of the previous gen then I could see that being a reality but only those people who always need the latest and greatest in the enthusiast market are going to pay those prices.

Sure many are upgrading to 4k monitors but the VAST majority of gamers aren’t running games above 1440p.

Im gonna need to replace my RTX 570 soon because it's just worn out. This price war doesn't make me happy.

if you upgraded from FX to Ryzen you must feel like the world is moving in fast forward all of the sudden.. I know i felt the upgrade when i went from an i7 860 and GTX 970 to an i7 8700K and GTX 1080TI right after the launch of RTX 2000..

Nah man. I’m done.

I got my 2070S on sale when the 30-series was out, and that’ll keep me until they either change tune in a few years, or a more reasonably priced AMD card is an upgrade... or I’ll start buying used cards, or only play old-ass/indie games from now on.
This hike is just too dumb, on top of the insane

I’m running on a GPU and CPU from 3 generations ago, having no problems running modern games, but 1600x1200? I haven’t seen a 4:3 monitor in so long... Regardless, I would love to have a Sony FW900 on my desk, but I’m not sure it could handle it.

I’m one of the odd ones who’s perfectly fine sticking with 1080p at 60fps forever.

Can we please, and I’m asking nicely, please just ignore everything he says and does.

It’s still nuts that I got a ps4 slim with the uncharted games for $200. Not gonna see a dip like that for a long time with consoles, if ever again.

I think it’d be crazy to buy into the 4000 series until we see how AMD’s performance fares this generation. The 3000 series price bump might have been justifiable based on RT performance and DLSS, but another price bump for this series should give even hardcore gamers pause.

This cat robot plan seems like a classic example of a stupid person’s idea of how a smart person would act. “Hey, robots that do jobs like people, so they should be shaped like humanoids!” Humans are shaped like humans not so we can do repetitive tasks on an assembly line. That is actually a really inefficient use of

I’m far from their target audience with these specs and prices, but my two cents for anyone looking at building a PC or buying a graphics card: 99% of us don’t need these new cards. I work in design doing a whole range of graphics-intensive tasks (modeling, renderings, some animations, graphic design, etc) while also
