Very difficult. Nothing is impossible, but when you're trying to keep the heat input down and the welds themselves don't need to be very big, it would prove to be problematic.
Site works! Same addy, josh@browndogwelding.com
There are some bad ass cycle builder/welders out there. I think you'd be asking for trouble doing the weave though, especially on something like thin wall chromoly!
Ha! I have friends that are...so I know the effort it takes. My plate is full!
Also...
If you got to the post he referenced(on OPPO), there's some 22 gauge welds. No, you're not gonna weave on thin stuff, but it's absolutely possible to make beautiful welds on thin shit.
We're actually building a bike right now with that concept, a '67 triumph. Raw metals. clear coated. The plan was to have it at SEMA, but I've had a couple medical issues crop up. Next year it'll be done!
I don't set the machine to pulse. If that's your solution, you haven't been welding long.

Style and substance aren't necessarily exclusive.
A friend from college applied right out of school. He thought they might DQ him for having knee surgery in high school and re-injurying it in college. Nope, no problem there. But the fact he was prescribed Ritalin as a kid meant he wasn't fit to fly. Huh.
