I made an edit playlist of Delta Machine and cut it back to a Violator-like 9 songs and it was vastly improved. For me what's so frustrating is Delta is the album they make, meanwhile Vince Clarke and Martin Gore are banging out that awesome VCMG record. Add some Gahan vocals and Fletcher um…handclaps? and suddenly

Their singles aside, you should give their LP's a try. I started with 'Brotherhood,' so do that. 'Every Little Counts' wound up on a lot of mixtapes for girls I knew.

Um, you start with Depeche Mode and then you end with Depeche Mode. There's a reason those dudes still pack soccer stadiums around the world while their peers muster together theater runs and nostalgia package tours.

What's Jack White's favorite cop show?

*slides down dinosaur*

I'll put this on the shelf next to my ceramic Amy Goodman kitten 'Democracy Meow.'

Angel Olsen is good, but for that kind of think I liked the Mitski record so much more.

This looks terrible and that's not how you spell Genesis.

What, do they grow up to be terrible or something?

I believe Austin Powers shagged the James Bond series. Baby.

Now You See Me Two: See You Next Tuesday

I thought Mark Arm said "Technooo!" on that track.

It's Gish and Siamese Dream, and any remotely listenable song that came out after that is pure luck. They were a fundamentally different band on those two records.

I really liked the prequel.

"I think the LotR trilogy is the only thing by Jackson that I'll ever enjoy."

Beers anyone? Maybe some games of pool? Wait, where's my wife?

Now I gotta vote you down because RATM was mostly awesome.

ok, I'll +1 you for that.

Well then you should accept that your preferences are more niche and not press a mainstream rock record too hard for serving broader interests. Certainly one that serves as a respite for the band members themselves.

"But it’s no longer enough for a New Pornographers composition to be merely catchy…"
What a stupid thing to write. It's a pop rock record. Catchy is always enough.
