It used to be the Continental Division building until the Continental Division was folded into Lincoln-Mercury in July 1956. Continental Mark IIs continued to be built there until the end of the 1957 model year.

Taillamps that flashed arrows at night which pointed in the opposite direction of the turn being signaled. Edsel wagons shared the wagon body shells with Fords and they attempted to disguise the jet tube round lamps with alternately styled lamp units with oddly shaped bolt-on trim.
Two other reasons Edsel failed. Edsel pricing overlapped higher priced Fords and lower priced Mercuries which were already established brands. Also, Edsels were assembled on the same assembly lines as Fords and Mercuries. Assembly line workers would have to break down the tooling and set it up to build an Edsel then…

Next Meh Car Monday: Ford Model T
Mini has to learn the hard way like Edsel wagons did concerning turnsignals that point a flashing arrow in the opposite direction of a turn.
More sales, faster production... More complaints. It’s been a pattern forever
Send you a Malibu!
Using the front wheel drive Mazda 626/MX6 platform, the cargo area was deep and flat and could swallow big loads!
I’ve had a few liftback coupes in my day and they were most practical for me hauling things...
It looks like it wants to go down on the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile...
When I had my Cobra II V8 back in the early 80s, I was so enamoured with the King Cobra front air dam and the one on the newer Fox body Mustang Indy Pace car and Cobra models that I mocked one up for my Cobra II out of plywood. I installed it with intentions to “fiberglass it” later but it didn’t last long after…
Those are nice 👍
Guilty with a 1976 Cobra II V8 in 1980.
Always my favorite 1983 Mustang aero wheel covers...
The 2008 Taurus was not the one he wanted to see. It was the 2010 model with the extensive redesign not looking like a VW Passat that was the one he wanted the Taurus to be. Even J Mays admits the Five Hundred/Taurus was a mistake. Mullally just thought it had a better chance reviving the Taurus name.
That is really a mindless setup. You have to be really lazy to not lift the entire hatch. I have a Toyota Matrix and never lift the seperate opening glass on the hatch. I’m always lifting the entire hatch to load groceries at floor level every week. I’m not going to lift them up and through the glass opening.
Mindless complexity and production cost.
The blue and ivory is awesome!👍👍👍
If I didn't know the scale, I'd probably think it looks like my Toyota Matrix.
