The same thing that was up with Americans and their fatter assed cars before the 1980s.

It always fascinated me that those Falcon Coupes had the hybrid look of the 1971-73 Mustang blended with the 1970-72 Torino.
Charlie’s Angels used a Cobra II not a King Cobra.
The wrap angle of the spoiler end caps are unecessary. It’s not like they are clearing wraparound taillamps. The taillamps themselves are too small for the rear body panel. If anything the body panel should have been painted black or given a smooth look to make it look less utilitarian.
They are real magical when you shine the blue UV light inside of them!😂😂😂
Or perhaps covered wagons 😂😂😂
I had a solid year of driver’s ed in high school back in 1980-81. I learned how to drive the right way and I shake my head often how ignorant most people are with their driving skills. If driver education and skill requirements were taken seriously like European countries then the roads might be a tad bit safer.
Such a tragedy. It’s strange reading about it happening in one of my old home towns knowing the exact location well.
The SS is esentially a rebadged G8 but more correctly both the G8 and SS were rebadged Holden Commodores with each model reflecting updates that corresponded with the generation Commodore they were made from.
The Pontiac GTO, Pontiac G8, Chevy SS and Chevy Caprice are not Holden “brands”. They were Holden vehicles rebadged as Pontiac and Chevy branded models which were imported to North America.
Actually success of the Mustang and Ralph Nader’s book Unsafe At Any Speed killed the Corvair. Also the Chevy II with it’s reliable more conventional configuration helped put the nails in the Corvair coffin. The Corvair was doomed well before the Camaro came out. The Camaro itself was a reaction to the success of the…
There were definitely many cases where the concept cars were more exciting than the production models.
That “Mark 11" you show there is not a real concept car. That is some desktop dreamer’s photoshop of the MKR concept from the same photoshoot of the MKR you posted before it.
Ford greatly increased sales of the Thunderbird for 1958 by adding a back seat for family use. The same principle worked for Jeep Wrangler by adding two more doors and a longer wheelbase.
That’s how it used to be before 1960. Each manufacturer had one standard line of cars with the variations being an array of body styles offered in multiple wheel bases and hi-med-low trim levels which used car model names to distinguish each one. Then GM added the Corvette and Ford added the Thunderbird and Falcon. By…
The Wayne Assembly Plant is retooling from building the Focus to building the new Ranger and Bronco.
Remember when Ford let the Taurus die on the vine while focusing on SUV and truck sales? Then as soon as the new Fusion came out which effectively replaced the old Taurus in the mid-sized segment, sales of the Fusion did very well.
“We’re sorry” doesn’t cut it. Ford can go fuck themselves. I know too many friends and family members burned by these cars with that shitty transmission. They all got frustrated and traded them ASAP for proven reliable vehicles in other brands.
That LincStang just needs a spare tire hump and oval opera windows.
That’s how Cadillac ended up with the ATS and CTS which don’t sell.
