Perhaps where you are from it’s different. Or where I’m from it’s different. That is so alien to me.

God Emperor of Dune:Harry Potter edition?

Well, at least you are consistent.I can respect that.

Headscarves aren’t really a religious thing, it’s more cultural. It is often associated with Sunni muslims, but it is fairly common in Eastern Europe(so I hear, never been) some African countries, and fashionable french ladies in Vespa ads. Some of those places are highly religious, yes, but some are also “officially”

You really don’t know any women in the trades? Almost all of my female friends are, and at least one of my sisters. I would be, but I don’t have the interest in math required.

She was the only one crazy enough to. Harry Potter is basically a sermon on the evils of inbreeding.

Do you want the actual answer? Though you can probably guess.

Your RN classes sound eclectic.

I wish you luck, guy!(Or lady.)

Why?

Reading the plot of Cursed Child made me want to read the actual books. It sounded so dull, and I am pretty sure I’ve seen that fanfic before. I like fanfic, but Voldie’s daughter and time travel are not my favourite tropes.

True facts. I was a psych major for about three years, when I was in my early 20's. Then I took a good hard look at my future prospects, my far more hardcore classmates/potential grad school rivals, and decided Psych wasn’t for me. I knew a Business major that was sure his degree would get him a better job in Calgary

Chicken and Waffles is amazing. Adding an egg and hollandise? Even better. I would eat the hell out of that.

I want real life version of textbooks she mentions. I have Fantastic Beasts and The Tales of Beedle the Bard, but where is my Monster Book of Monsters? My History of Magic? My Arthimancy textbook?

Personally, I have a hard time separating creators from their works. It’s not a hate thing, but if they behave in real life in a fashion I cannot agree with, it breaks my suspension of disbelief.

I thought other people wrote “Cursed Child”, and Rowling just gave the go ahead?

The witch hunts became too dangerous, even though burning wasn’t effective, and people were getting hysterical. According to the book of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them”. Which has nothing to do with the upcoming movie I think.

The war did spill into the muggle world-she mentions it in Deathly Hallows. the Death Eaters started killing large groups of muggles and they passed it off as “gas leaks” and the like.

I read the plot..and you are very right. I love Harry Potter, but the Cursed Child was not where I hoped it was going. She is very obviously done with the series and just seemed to have caved to pressure to continue.

It was her tip though, not the payment for the meal. Nor was it particularly busy, as I recall. He isn’t a monster.
