People will buy it. Just look at the $100,000+ Ford F350.

They should use the Tonka font on the truck bed.

To get that cherubic look on the Lotus, the owner is squishing a traffic cone just outside of the shot.

Sure, build a car factory/assembly line in a tent, and commentariat is upset.

Restore a barn find Miura under a tent and you’re an instant Jalopnik Gold member :P

This soooo needed a Ridge Racer reference. That car has the “grip” class super duper cars design phase written all over it.

Oh to have the money to commission something like this and have it executed so damned nicely. I’m on the budget that could afford a hacksaw and some cardboard, not commissioning a coach builder and design firm.

Stuff like this and what Glickenhaus does is what I’d love to do if I actually had unhealthy sums of money...

All the other good names were Taycan.

Stripes has been undergoing a reorganization of sorts after quite a few of them were bought out by 711. They’ve been having fuel supply issues ever since. You might also contact the local police department to see if there were any other reports of disabled vehicles from bad fuel.

Haha yeah, a local dealership refused to sell a car to a friend of mine because he was in his 20s. Didn’t matter that he had a smattering of 600+whp cars at home and drag raced on the weekends.

“Sorry son, this thing has too much power for somebody your age.”

Didn’t matter if he had a wad of cash for it either.

Nissan tried that with the GT-R. That didn’t last very long as we had people doing 200mph pulls on I10 around Houston not too long after lol.

The Slingshot guy was also listening to a Belter version of Deep Purple’s “Highway Star” at the beginning. Was a perfect start to the episode.

I’m fine with the idea of running a V8. It will be interesting to see what powerplant they eventually go with.

Zakspeed ran a V10 converted to V8 pattern (they referred to it as a V8/10) to get around the heavy power restrictions they were slapped with at the Nordschleife. The race series rules required them to keep

Honestly, 800whp is very conservative for that engine combo. That 4.5 Whipple is capable of oh so much more but pictures elsewhere show it’s running a pretty large pulley to keep boost levels not so astronomical.

This is similar power range of an upper/lower pulley hellcat on good fuel. But a stock appearing Hellcat

When I was younger I wanted to do a map for my friends and I that would have allowed us to do team vs team battle or pvp in our school building.

On the other hand I’m glad I didn’t because somebody would probably have let word slip and think we were training to shoot up the school...

Surprisingly enough, yes. I have a customer that restores older aircraft engines (including pre-war stuff), really pleasant guy to deal with.

Just a little Braveheart I guess.

Convergent evolution of design. When the Mclaren, Lambo, Audi, NSX all start looking alike at first glance...

Witnessing the miracles of childbirth every day.

DM: You have discovered an unlocked chest. Do you open it?

Me: Fuck yes!

DM: Chest has keys to new Ford GT previously owned by John Cena

Me: SWEEEEET!

DM: Keys are cursed and transfer at touch, roll a skill check. You will receive a critical hit if you fail.

Me: *Rolls a 1* FFFFFUUUUUUUU

‘02 model, so I don’t think it’s pre-ford, not sure.

Yeah, it’s been the best $800 DD. I’ve done some of the bigger maintenance stuff, timing belt, water pump, etc. Also did the motor mounts/torque mounts since they were all trash.

Really debating on figuring out a manual trans conversion or just biting the bullet on another auto and just work on keeping it happy for
