I don’t know the specifics of the case but I can see why this would take longer given the scope and multiple homocide charges. Hate crime might have been the big story to take away but this is no more than a maniac with access to gun powder hence it needs a different level of attention.

Ironically this case has already been concluded to be a hate crime within 24 hours. So I was wrong assuming the police was going to take longer on something so obvious. So yes I was wrong and props to the cops for doing their job right.

Roof massacred 9 people. The police needed to decide whether to send him to a jail or a to a mental hospital. This is by no means the same case, it takes more than just racism to murder another human being.

I replied to another post with this answer but in the case of Dylan this was way beyond just racism, the guy murdered several people. I think the police needed to do a verification on his sanity levels before landing a sentence.
