Wasn’t particularly surprised by much this year. Most of the things that were going to be ok were ok. Most of the things I expected to be good were good. And the things that weren’t weren’t very far from expectations.

Most annoying to me is how sensitive the lock screen customization is to open by accident.
For one - that 30% isn’t a tax. Company’s are welcome to come up with their own phones and infrastructure to make money off their users, but if they want to use Apple’s, Google’s, Sony’s, Microsoft’s, etc then it costs money. It’s not free.
Because it controls the lights & the roomba (and for me it also controls some of the TVs, a few sets of blinds, and a few other odds & ends, composes my 6 room audio setup & seamlessly plays spotify, apple music, podcasts, and audiobooks).
If you want to come and do all of those things for me - go ahead & record me.…

Most of what was wrong with Crystal Skull was with Mutt. Even putting aside my dislike for Shia Leboeuf, his character didn’t make the movie better, and the ‘ow my balls’ scene was just cringey as hell.

It is not an overreaction. That is a very exciting picture of 18 dots and I’m not being the least bit sarcastic.

Side note, on every rewatch of Clone Wars, I really am floored by how good it is. They really were just super willing to delve into nuanced concepts that few kids shows are willing to touch.
