I don't care if it is 30%. I don't want anybody that dumb working for me.

All businesses who can afford to do this should do it. And forget the weekly tests for the anti-vaxxers, vaccinations or get out. Do you really want those dumbasses working for you?

Good

Yeah it was teased in the post-credits of The Suicide Squad and the first three episodes dropped on Thursday.

Wait, he has a show now?!

No argument the later Star Trek’s had more orchestral, even cinematic opening theme music. I still prefer the original music, but I am admittedly and unabashedly biased.

Haven’t seen the show yet (delayed indefinitely in the UK here it seems), heck, haven’t seen the movie yet either... but yes, that did put a smile on me face.

The Expanse was excellent.

That doesn’t put a smile on my face.

Now playing

Watch this and tell me it doesn’t put a smile on your face…

Ackbar (Admiral?) from Star Wars
Bowman (Dave?) from 2001
Idaho (Duncan?) from Dune
Ripley (Ellen?) from Alien
O’Neill (Jerry?) space station proponent and inventor of the mass driver (rail gun technology)
Rico (Johnny?) from Starship Troopers
Ryker (Will?) from Star Trek
Thrace (Kara?) from Galactica

Aliens’ Vasquez, Ripley, Hudson and Hicks caught my eye first; now I see Rick Deckard (Blade Runner) is in there too... Sara Connor...Will Riker

Googling I see that people have guessed Alex Rogan from Last Starfighter and it looks like Hiromitsu Ochiai is a baseball player.

A Rogan is Alex Rogan from Last StarFighter. Not sure about the other one.

No even if you didn’t read the books it’s clear the story is not over. The whole thing with the ring entities and Laconia is just hanging there. And as Holden says in the end “and hey, whatever happened to that protomolecule sample?” That was clearly a tease so even if you don’t know the books you’d remember there is

I liked The Suicide Squad, but this show wasn’t something I was overly hyped for. I watched it tonight as a palette cleanser after watching “My Orthodox Life” with my girlfriend and I was in love with the show almost immediately, from the exchange between Cena and Ray from Schitt’s Creek.

Is it possible the the two greatest intro credits in TV history happened within 2 months of each other? The other being Yellowjackets.

“...this disjointed universe that is DC live universe so that nice.”

This is what I love about this imperfect universe. It’s so weird! Not everything affects everything else, and that’s a good thing.

Amen, my feelings exactly. I went in not expecting much, what with Scott’s recent track record, but found myself actually looking forward to it each week. Unfortunately, with that absurd finale (the flying cyber snake, the hollow planet, jesus fucking christ), it effectively ceased to be plausible as a work of science
