I also made a note of the ‘segmented’ world and how it's basically made up of corridors, which will be good for the switch. On pc, the only time the CPU use ramps up is in places like Heliodor with lots of npcs and a wide open area.

Apparently the switch version is a long way off because they have to rework the engine :( but I will be buying it on switch too, and a game has to be truly special for me to buy it twice!
Me too! Plan the whole turn and sit back and chill :)
It’s fine. Repetitive, yes. But the midi sounds perfectly nice. Not that I wouldn’t prefer it to be orchestral, but it’s totally fine. The hate probably comes from it being really the only thing about the game that isn’t 100% top quality.
Dragon Quest XI is so magical that everything else is on hold. Including the DIY I am supposed to be doing this weekend.
Weird, I just reinstalled this game last week. It really is a very, very good RPG, packed with interesting, well written content and a great art style. Such a shame what happened to it, I hope we will be seeing a sequel off the back of this announcement.
Spelunky 2 trailer made me reinstall the game on steam, and I found all my progress was gone. Anyone else find this? It's a long hard road out of hell...
I'm finishing up the extra content in Dragon Quest 8 3DS in prep for Dragon Quest 11. I've played every game in the series and simply cannot wait to dive into another one. Very easily the ultimate JRPG series for me, with distilled, strategic gameplay, heaps of charm and pathos, and a satisfying lack of emo BS.
Cor blimey!
Oh for goodness sake.
The solution is to stop comparing it to something else.
This looks completely, utterly awful, embarrassing and a waste.
Funny you should mention that, bruh, because I did actually get an eye test last week. Perfect 20/20 vision. Which I was surprised by considering the amount of time I spend staring at screens.
To be clear I'm impressed by this trailer and excited to play the game. But they really don't move like real human beings. Everything looks clunky and robotic as hell. Decent motion capture is like Hellblade or something. The animations in the footage of this game look totally inconsistent with the rest of the…
So Rockstar still haven't evolved their animations, then. Characters move the same as Red Dead 1. Game looks really pretty so the extremely outdated animations are super jarring to watch.
YES!! Simon was my number 1 hope for smash. And Richter is my favourite Belmont. This... this is good.
I have had several sets of pet rats. They are loyal, funny, affectionate, clean and incredibly intelligent and easy to train. A great low maintenance pet.
Cheesy I know, but this is ‘our’ song for me and my fiancée. We played on one of our first dates, 7 years ago. A DJ I know played it on the radio when we got engaged. We saw the Cure play it live a few years ago. Love it!
I was clearing out my stuff from my parents loft the other week and found my gameboy camera, full of photos I took when I was 12. Quite a trip. Been messing about with it since then and got some cool shots out and about (flowers look great on this thing).
While I agree with most of what you’re saying - particularly about the melancholic tone of the first 3 games - I love the new ones very much too.
