This is the correct configuration for me, I live in a condo, no idea if the complex will ever get electric charging any time soon. I would like a plug in hybrid because I’m 15 miles from work, I think that’s within range for a smaller battery, but I will need the petrol as charging at least, I can’t always plug it in.

Engine sound is irrelevant since it’s a range extender, it’s not a dual-motor hybrid like the i8.
