I think he definitely had some goodness but by the time he's snapping that guys neck in his Matrix costume or threatening the world with his octavian lens he lost most of his humanity. 

He should play Modok

He was great, but in the whole three films he got maybe ten minutes of screen time. Just not enough to really affect the films overall. A lot of great secondary roles but they weren't in the films enough.

If you think Doc Ock is just a generic evil comic villain you should read some comics. There's a reason he's considered one of the all time greats.

In the comics Doc Ock might be my favorite villain and Molina is a great actor, but I hated the interpretation in Spider-Man 2.
