The Night King is a showy prick. Look back at Hardhome(sp?) where he just makes the ‘Come At Me Bro’ hands as Jon sails away, even though if he did it in the middle of battle he could have easily murdered everyone. Because thats not the point. He wants to show everyone he’s the one with the biggest pair of balls,

Look at the Donald trump cosplayers

No, I think it’s much more likely Sansa is realizing everyone still alive in her family is incredibly damaged, and the extent is even worse than she feared. And since she’s in charge/having the experience to recognize damage, she’s upset and afraid for how she can fix or handle it going forward.

It totally matters because what if he wants to be a dad? What if he wants to go on vacation near a beach in 20 years and he’s 40 and she’s ‘geriatric’ and ‘shouldn’t’ wear a bikini anymore? BUT WHAT IF.

oh, fuck. i totally experienced that this week.

A male feminist walks into a bar

Also, this.

As a “curvy” chick (honestly, I like to just call myself a fat girl but people take such issue with that) I’m honestly turned off when a guy makes a big deal about being into curvy girls. I like all types of body types on a dude and I’m not making a point to fucking shout it from the rooftops.

Is it just me or is there in fact a marked correlation between owning/driving a BMW and major douchebaggery?

This guy was very casual about posting this kind of stuff and these people worked together everyday. This guy was the assistant chief, sorry but there is no way the chief, and probably lots of other officers, didn’t know this dude was a crazy racist and they were all OK with it enough to not do shit until the public

I didn’t come in here and scream that AFRICANS DID IT FIRST...

What is it with guys doing “romantic” gestures that are really just horrible inconveniences for people? I mean, I’m sure some women do it too, but every time I’ve made a huge wince and gone “did you really stop to think for 3 seconds about who you could be harming/bothering with this” it seems to be a guy.

But the rape shown in shows rarely show the statistical norm (someone you know, no weapon present) and almost never actually trace the trauma of sexual assault. Instead they’re played for titillation, motivation for the male protagonist, shorthand for “this dude is really bad” or some combination of the above.. And

But if it were about portraying rape realistically, wouldn’t there be more non-white, older, non-cis-female, non-societally-sanctioned-beautiful characters being raped on screen? I feel like the fact that it’s almost always a young beautiful white woman so that we can sympathize with how ~tragic~ it is to see her

The ratio of people of colour in film is much lower than you’d see anywhere in history. But I doubt that’ll change for the sake of accuracy. Why does rape have to be the thing where people insist “oh it’s ugly and horrible but it happens in real life so I have to portray it in every film I make so my audience can jack

I’m not sure why viewers are so concerned about realism when it comes to making sure to include enough rape, but not about the “realism” of things like dragons, witches, some sort of ice monster things, and time-traveling aliens. Seems to me a lack of realism can often make for the best entertainment.

If statistics bear true and 1 in 6 American women is the victim of attempted or completed rape, then arguably, it’s realism to include it at least some of the time.

I’d be a little more inclined to the reflection of reality angle if more of it took place off screen, where it could inform characterization without exciting the audience. It seems like premium shows revel in graphic depictions, while network shows and many movies lean toward attempted rape that results in no insights

Maybe we could just have less rape in our tv and movies?
