Talking about accel times- from following to passing, going back to the original argument about the bike vs car capabilities. A bike is going to pass before a car that can do 140, unless we’re talking Royal Enfields or underpowered bikes below 500 CC

And nothing probably happens to them, which is why he got loony.

Stuff happens. Used to have a friend who carried a chain on his bike, not to lock it, but to take mirrors off on his way to base in CA of cars that tried to smush him or block. He was late once, wound up knocking a guy unconscious with his full face

Yes, it does mean you can. To do it or not is your call. It also means you won’t pass as quickly as a bike at the same speed, would need greater HP than that needed for only 140.

Had a salesman tell me on a test drive that stuck blend doors on a 2 year old CPO X5 (meaning no AirCon on the passenger side, front or rear) is a problem “all cars have if they sit for a week or two,” my reply was “Only if your only cars are BMWs”

As a man who has owned only Honda motorcycles for decades and grew up with Honda cars I have to say: the issues my folks had with their past two Honda cars (Civic Hybrid and Accord) were shocking to me.

lol YES

Yeah, I agree completely too, they are overkill for just about everyone. My thought has been that all the big off-road lights just lead most recreational (or even many “working” users) to drive faster into trouble in the dark more than anything else.

Upgrades like you did or handheld spots like I use get you anywhere.

Some modernized engines, radar, space evaluation and up to date automation and she would probably be a great missile or bomb truck. The design was super slick for the time, I imagine it would still be quite efficient.

Just need to find that one they supposedly stuck in a barn somewhere

In VA most modern cars are just plugged in and the system tells the computer whether or not the car passes. If you reset your codes and try to pass you just fail. Also if you just have your systems serviced- you have to drive like 400 miles to get the car’s own systems to pass.

So, no motorcycle endorsement, and carrying passengers?

Ah, the young and foolish. Still, I hope they get Crum for something, unless he has proof of the wasp sting, looks pretty intentional.

Meh. With the low population size and natural resource endowment, they can do whatever they want and be fine, other places this would create serious have and have-nots issues due to access and housing costs.

This always a valid point, and I make it all the time in my line of work that folks need to stop assuming who is and isn’t American based on physical characteristics or even accent- but the news article makes it clear the LEO said she was new to the country.

Jesus Christ. You’re right though, this sort of accident is more commonplace than anyone should be comfortable with

Few things are cooler than the black Audi A6’s with the blackout tints blowing by in procession. I get the look, it works.

I agree with you too, but the location and Audi have me betting on my original guess. You only have to go to Washington DC metro area to showcase your comment though, VA and MD will give a license to anyone who fogs a window and isn’t walking with a red and white cane, both American or first time immigrant drivers.

For the test, yes, it is pretty normal to use a personal vehicle. For practice without the instructor too, which is how I helped my friends and family.

LOL. Will never forget following my wife while she was teaching a Chinese student to drive. I honestly thought all four of them were going to die.

PNW, Newish Audi, 20 something student

The WSBK race in Losail was also excellent, how about that finish of Race 2?
