You might want to revisit that logic many games on Humble Monthly have sold well even before they hit on HB. Hat in time Pillars or Eternity hell even the Division. Yakuza was a $20 launch title PC game in 2018 and a late port I think sales were decent its said around 200-500 but with the way steam hid data its hard
