I’m not sure you can say Lakers Exceptionalism is dead the day after GOAT 1B says he’s going to LA. What other NBA team can miss the playoffs 5 straight years, then sign the league’s best player? None. There are very few teams in the world with the cache to be considered a destination by their respective league’s

Who are you trying to get crazy with, ese?  Don’t you know I’m loco?

One of my best pearls of wisdom my dad told me was to never get into a fight with someone who has less to lose than you do.

Taking into consideration how unattractive playing in San Antonio will be once Pop retires in a couple years, “knee-capping” someone’s career isn’t going to attract future players. Even with Kawhi at full strength next year, the Spurs aren’t legitimate title contenders, so why nuke the organization’s reputation? Ego?

Ingram played PG when Lonzo was injured, and the Lakers had their best stretch of games last year. I’m not saying Ingram is a point guard, but a true PG isn’t as necessary as one would think, especially on a team that could potentially suit up LeBron, Kawhi, and PG.

There’s also that Carmelo is a one-trick pony, and that pony is now glue.

True, but this is the internet, so there must be outrage over something.

A couple of my buddies went to the 2010 Lakers parade after beating the Celtics. The team changed it up this year and had the parade start in downtown, meander down Figueroa through South Central, and culminate at the Coliseum. My buddies thought they were smart by taking the Metro and staking our a spot on Figueroa.

Never read Facebook comments.

I hate to sound cliche, but my answer to this question actually is Miata. I have 130,000 miles on my 2008 FJ Cruiser, and my wife suggested that I think about getting a commuter car so I can reduce the amount of miles and wear I put on “Sandy” since FJ values have held steady now they’ve been out of production a few

Your post has me imagining Steph’s mom on her back with her legs up. in the air....

GTFO here with your wisdom drawn from first-hand real life experience. There’s no place for that here.

I was thinking poor Jose was sold an “imported JDM Miata coupe”.

It’s very different when the other side wants an athlete to just “shut up and play”, isn’t it?

A beanball could be in store for retaliation, but if I were Rizzo, I’d be more concerned about getting spiked in his Achilles tendon on a bang-bang play at 1B.

Thanks for the perspective. BTW... what’s considered NYC-proper? The number I saw was 304 square miles, which included the 5 boroughs, so the ~150 square mile difference is roughly the size of Denver.

Vontaze Burfict would’ve been proud of this Code Red story, but he doesn’t know how to read.

There would be nothing to prosecute if the suspect escaped. If there were no video, but you had the suspect and all the physical evidence of her all over the inside of the vehicle, you’d still feel confident getting a guilty verdict, right?

I’m glad there were other witnesses on the scene who detained the fleeing suspect until the cops arrived, unlike worthless Matthew Santoro whose priority was to film the incident for Twitter likes.

You determined this just by seeing it, or did you do a test drive followed up by an inspection?
