This was a good article. It's such a catch 22 that while we don't want ourselves or loved ones in what is perceived as a dead end job, we also want a competent experience when we go to these places. We need to stop denigrating honest work in this country.

I miss quant things like this on old TV. Remember when every channel would do something for Christmas? I hate when Christmas day is on a weekday and they show talk show reruns… I can remember when WGN would show Alistair Sims A Christmas Carol on Christmas Eve, followed up by the 1940s Rudolph animated short.

It seems to me that the NFL should make a commitment to keeping up MNF but scheduling better games. Why do they get short shift? After the late Sunday game and the Sunday night game they should be priority.

As a middle aged father whose Saturday nights are often sedate affairs, I enjoy the Saturday night games the NFL schedules in December after college ball is over. The cold outside, the crackling fire, the tree, a few snacks as my family sleeps and I enjoy the game…truly bliss.
