How is it that your PS3 can survive 7 years without YLODing? After suffering from one myself last year, I began reading about the cause of YLOD only to find out that all PS3 and 360 will eventually YLOD/RROD, including the newest slim models.

I actually have a corner on my desk for my retired consoles. I stupidly sold my old PSone, but my big PS2 and big PS3. I never had my consoles positioned upright like in the promo photos, but leaning them against the wall allows them to stand tall and proud for their long years of service.

What really struck me as I dragged it out from one room to the other was that I can see a lot of folks keeping their PS3 for another year or two at least.

I feel like I can't get rid of the PS3 because of Playstation Plus. Even though there's nothing on there left on my must play list that I can't get on the PS4, Vita, or PC instead, I'm still going to be getting free games every month that might be worth throwing a couple hours at.

As we've already seen, the Nurburgring is a dangerous track. Perhaps it's not a great idea to tailgate all of your WRX driving buddies on it. How they didn't anything is beyond me.
