Same.

"everyone RAGES at call of duty for being more of the same. noone does for mario"

I take your point, fair enough. Perhaps, to me, it's more of an issue of the outrageous price we got over here in the UK, and the short amount of time between launch and price drop. I know it hasn't been selling fantastically, but really, I may have expected the price drop, just not so soon.

I may not like the plane all that much, but goddamn, that's fucking awesome.

Okay, kinda po'd about the price drop after I got it at launch, but w/e, these things happen.

Considering how hard they've worked for everyone to know what Game of Thrones is, it might be a little short sighted to name the next season Clash of Kings, even if that's what it should be.

+1

After a car accident that required reconstructive surgery afterwards.

I thought Eddie Izzard was going to be one of the dwarves, when did this change?

My bad. Shoulda replied to Eldritch.

Everyone always says this when there's Futurama news, good Futurama news. But Farnsworth only(? mostly(?)) ever said this when there was bad news, grave news, horrible news.

I think he looks like Lou Ferrigno

w/e, I bet Georgie boy is just using old and shitty cameras to film new footage and pass it off as original.

In season 1 they renamed Robert Arryn, Lysa's son, to Robin, so as to not confuse everyone with Robb and Robert.

Toby Maquire and Kirsten Dunst? Did they star in another movie together after the two Spiderman films?

Love that entire sequence. His was a great character in a great film. I liked him in Scott Pilgrim vs The World as well.

That ending annoyed me. It's an odd complaint to have of MIIB, for sure, that I found that one scene unrealistic and stupid.... but it really made no sense, even if they were trying to make some sort of weird point about it.

Why does rock beat fire?

You know, everyone says they have huge problems with this book. I see your point about it killing momentum, but I suppose I'm still too swept up in the story to really stop enjoying it on the scale everyone else seemed to.

As if I didn't already have enough reason to see it anyway (though shame I have to wait until it's out over here, on the 29th), great review Alasdair. Couldn't wait before, now I'm annoyed at how little patience I have for wanting to see this film.
