He plead guilty and admitted to buying homes and other assets with the proceeds of illegal drug sales.

Yes, it’s dumb that weed isn’t federally legal. Yes, civil asset forfeiture is ridiculous. Yes, 40 years is an insane amount of time for this crime. No, this guy shouldn’t get away with no repercussions after breaking

To be fair, you folks DO have Northern Michigan University up there...

My son considered going to Michigan Tech, where they have a concrete canoe called the Yooper. It races other concrete canoes. I’m from New Jersey. This was an interesting place to visit.

Most every lake has one. It is there job to take readings on water quality/clearness and submit it to the governing/recording entity in your area.

I thought it was clever too and then I realized that they’d ALSO have to make sure the rope was long enough to unplug the clock but not too long to take the clock down with it, or even out/through the wall of where ever it was plugged in.

They do it on the lakes by me in Iowa too. To get the clock to stop, they wire it and use something that dissolves (I think aspirin maybe) to hold the wires together.  That way, when the car goes through, the aspirin gets wet and dissolves and the circuit loses the connection and the clock stops.  Took me years to

This may be the most Yooper thing I’ve read all year. Possibly ever.

Lots of flooded quarries in the midwest are used by recreational scuba divers. Since they are generally just giant holes in the ground this technique is often used to submerge interesting things for the divers to see. I’ve been diving in quarries with submerged tanks, school buses, delivery trucks, and even traffic

David is thinking.  “for the cost of scuba gear rental and a tow strap....new car for spring”

Back then, they’d rig one end of a rope to the car and wrap the other end around the electric cord of a wall clock at the adjacent gas station. When the car sank, it unplugged the clock, freezing in time the moment the car broke through.

Just remember David that you are Troll because you live under the bridge

This feels like it could be peak Michigan.

Exactly why I wanted to take this trip. Cars aren’t just about performance driving or gimmicky features. They are, to me, a place that is truly mine. I can belt every line of a song. I can sit in silence. And I can find things I could never find on foot.

The last time I saw Kev, we hugged and said we loved each other. We didn’t usually do that.

And frankly, not related to cars, but... I think society as a whole would be better off if we just went to someplace vast and loud and screamed poetry into the void.

The threshold for when someone takes their own life can be extremely tricky. One stimulus could cause some kind of chain reaction that sends the whole thing down the bad path. I’ve seen it happen. It’s not always predictable and love and care isn’t a perfect fix. You never really know how you’re going to feel when

GRAY’S. SPORTS. ALMANAC. What the hell is Trump going to do with a Farmer’s Almanac from the future? Corner the soy bean market? Maybe frozen orange juice futures?

Its a thing now for complexes and neighborhoods (aka bitch ass HOA’s) to have stupid shit in their rules. From trash cans not being out so far to stuff like this. On one hand I get it. Who wants to drive through and see cars sitting on bricks, spiderwebs under them etc. A lot of people use car ports in complexes as

Read the paperwork bro, you gave Mark Zuckerberg the right of prima nocta to all your children.

It’s on a piece of paper that means its the right thing.
