Damn I’m bummed that I missed this one. Here it goes anyway.

When you live in a very small town and you’re a teenager with nothing to do you cruise mainstreet. Thankfully we at least had a great 4 lane road for that that ended in a big park you could drive through in a loop or park at the end in the parking spaces we

I give this A LOT more credit now that I know this is a Ford motor and not another fucking SBC! Props for doing something different. Would have been crazy to see it with a blown Hemi too.

And nothing of value was lost.....

Okay, maybe a little bit. As much as I rag on vettes unless I can figure out a better option I’m probably getting one in 3 years as my official “Mid Life Crisis Car”. Hard to beat that much HP in an easy to maintain plentiful package.

Maybe even just to become an LS swap for something else fun.

You sir, are a bad influence!!!!!

I think I’m going to make a serious effort to look for one next year. I’m starting to think about putting some feelers out for find a new job next year, and if that happens I won’t know where I’m going to land so having 3 cars would be a pain in the ass to juggle. It would be a major

COTD no contest!

I’ll second the idea. I have a 15 Mazda6 Touring with a manual and I love it. While it’s certainly not TDI milage I’m getting about 27 city / 33 hwy in real world driving and it’s been a comfortable, fun (but not “fast”) car.

My neighbor’s kids and all their crap thrown around their yard is an eyesore but I feel I wouldn’t be successful in fighting that. They spend most of the summer months screaming to the point neighbors houses away tell them to be quiet.

Living next to people in close quarters like that in a townhome community sucks.

I was perfectly happy the previous 3 years finally getting out of an apartment building and renting a small 2 bdrm house for myself. My neighbors had some annoying ass chihuahuas but otherwise it was great.

Now I’m in a Duplex and I

I wouldn’t give it to my dumbass teenage son because I wouldn’t trust him to not fuck it up, but if I had that truck today I wouldn’t even blink over spending $15,000 on it. Keep in mind this would be a “keep it forerver” vehicle. Nothing would make me ever want to sell it.

I do agree that sinking $15,000 into a

Hmmm, good question. I honestly haven’t looked into their nonsense enough to see how they try and explain them away. I always just assumed that they argued Adam & Eve and denied their existance because it was a part of Evolution.

DeVos will probably strike Dinosaurs from the texbooks though because they contradict Creationism.

Was my fathers bronco that was given to our 17 year son.

My prevention method is to not be an idiot, and make sure that even if I butcher the driver’s name I still open the door and ask “Hi are you ______ picking up Jason?” Problem solved.

How am I the first one to suggest this?

You’re David Tracy, sell it and buy like 10 or 12 beat ass Jeeps. Or just fix 2 or 3 of the least shitty ones you already own.

As much as we shouldn’t accumulate the amount of debt we do as Americans it’s the way most of us live. Very few people live so frugally as to buy everything in cash and carry zero debt.

Having your own reliable transportation is a principle requirement for employment in most of this country, especially in a rural

Those are nightmares to me when it came to this car! I had the driver’s side fender painted once when I first had bubbles appearing, then it came back less then 6 months later and I convinced the shop to redo it with bondo. Probably 2 years later I had a full respray done on it and it bubbled the day I picked it up.

Then aside from begging his parents to give him a ride or riding the bus to a shitty part time job bagging grocerries until he’s saved up enough money for a piece of shit car, how do you assume he’s going to purchase even the most basic car?

Don’t own a car period isn’t an acceptable answer to me either. I know the

I saw it in person at the Detroit Auto Show and I honestly thought it looked fine. I DON’T like the new headlight shape, but I do think the bumper is a definite improvement. I’m sick of seeing giant fake air vents with turn signal/fog lights stuffed in them. The vents on this bumper do look more agressive, and from

You make it sound like there’s $10,000 burning a hole in his pocket waiting to be spent or invested. Unless there was an inheritance or something that gives him cash on hand, my bet is that either he’s taking out a loan, or his parents are buying it.

While it would be great to invest that money now and see the
