You don’t need NFTs or blockchain to run a closed market for skins or whatever.

A good and expected result.  Now can we never talk about them again?

Reminds of Dinklage in Destiny. He was replaced. Maybe these celebs just phone it in because they don't respect video games as an art form, don't think there's much of an audience and are just collecting a check. Someone also mentioned possible time restraints as a possible reason for less than stellar performances.

Privilege and access to privilege will make people behave awfully. It’s also presumably a flintlock which people are not going to be immediately threatened by being what appears to be a stunt. And it’s a celebrity. You work closely with talent, you want to keep working closely with talent. Talent behaves badly, people

Chriiiist, this fucking try-hard.

I would hate for them to buy Nintendo. First of all, "their success lies off their hardware" means they would kill the Switch and move things onto Xbox. Second of all, no I can't argue this anymore it's just too awful to consider

Holy shit, just when I thought I couldn’t dislike Phil Spencer any more.

Dude’s idea of success is ‘buy all the competition’ rather than, you know, actually investing in his own developers to make better games.  Sure buddy, try to buy the company that has consistently trounced the shit out of you in console sales

They wouldn’t. It’s a guy spouting off a pipe dream.

Imagine being such an idiot that a person would conflate pulling someone over for expired tags with a person stopping in a traffic lane to get out and hit another person’s car, as though those 2 circumstances are at all related.

So this guy could get out and shoot people instead of just hitting their cars with a pipe?

It’s because delivery is horrifically overpriced shit where you have to pray the shopper doesn’t give up when they can’t find your bacon after 1 second.

My partner and I are millenials, and we’ve found online grocery shopping to be completely stupid and we save so much more money going in person.

At least one bear had a good time in central Florida this weekend.

(El)on (Mu)sk. It’s a thing, I guess. Personally I’ve taken to calling him Tony Shart.

The obvious answer is:

How many people are still buying Ps4s and Xbox 1?  Now compare that to how many people are buying Switches.  I would argue that’s your answer right there.

This exactly. I don’t want my Switch to play high end games. I don’t want to play Horizon: Forbidden West or God of War while on the train every morning. Instead, I want to play something light, that isn’t showy with it’s graphics. Which is why complaints about Switch computing power fall on deaf ears, in my case at

On the Website Formerly Known as Twitter, it’s common to spell his name wrong so fanboys who search his name and harass anyone who has anything less than kind to say about him won’t find your posts. The misspelling has since become a meme unto itself.

That there’s no way that they could be this clueless over how this was going to received.”

Jesus Christ. IANAL and all, but I feel like that alone HAS to be begging for a lawsuit of some kind.

It should be added that Unity gets to decide what is a charity, so even though the profits may be donated to a charity Unity can just decide that they don’t actually consider it a charity and so it wouldn’t fall under the exemption.

And yet no matter what walking back they do at this point, merely showing they are able and potentially willing to make a change like this should remain a massive red flag to any developer.
