Hi. I have. I’ve played through both games.

No significant issues at all.

And they’ve been shown over and over again that the “corporate calculus” is unreliable.

The usual demand is that idealized capitalism must be compared to a red-scare caricature of communism, while in every mixed system every positive detail must be credited entirely to capitalism while everything that goes wrong is entirely the fault of departures from pure laissez-faire capitalism.

that doesn’t make sense. If Nintendo is handing out the licensing how is a 3rd party going to pressure them into anything. If anything SWT already has the track record of having a successful business strategy

Nintendo invited them to get a license and then they failed to get one? something doesn’t add up

No that’s pretty much it

This is the only comment that matters. Kind of stunning that the article doesn’t mention prices, but then you see it’s Zack...

people who own steamdecks are the new crossfitters.

It’s really not worth mentioning again. We get it. The Switch is a weaker system than all of the other current systems and runs the new Pokemon like shit, though still significantly better than you would be led to believe if Twitter and Kotaku were your only sources for news.

New device that costs 2-3x the cost of old device is a better device, yawn.

I have functionally no interest in most of Nintendo’s first-party lineup”

As a Kotaku reader, I don't care about Amouranth.

Capitalism TRULY drives innovation, doesn’t it!?

It has nothing to do with the hardware. Sonic Frontiers manages a reliable 30 FPS at all times, and Bayonetta 3 managed to remain solid despite all the stuff going on at times, meanwhile Pokemon consistently chugs along at a slide show pace.

It’s got nothing to do with hardware and everything to do with the Gamefreak team being horrible at building a game engine. They’ve had performance issues for multiple games now, just none that were this severe.

It’s funny how all of the slurs for white people that white people know were invented by white people to describe white people and weren’t even slurs to begin with. If that’s not white supremacy, I don’t know what is.

Thank you immensely for this lovely explainer!

spoilers: you catch them all”

Considering the number of first-party titles that have none of these problems... I think this is a GameFreak issue.

but in the minds of many Americans:
