Welcome, Y’all 💟
Welcome, Y’all 💟
i don’t feel bad for lena because, well, she’s lena, and jack is hot and too good for her.
AHHH that last link. I’ve been side-eyeing this one for awhile....even if Jack Antonoff and Lorde aren’t dating I felt a little bad for Lena (I know, I know!!) because they were obviously so close, so physically affectionate, SO publicly. I think that can be fine in a friendship, I’m a cuddler with my closest pals,…
I’m not going to insist Couric is telling the truth, but I think it is relevant to note that, like you said, Couric was one of the few women who had seniority over Lauer. Additionally, when Lauer came on as her co-host, her husband was dying of cancer, and then she was raising two small kids in the aftermath of his…
“On being stronger than yesterday, now not being nothing but her way, and her loneliness not killing her no more:”
On the one hand, I think Katie Couric is full of shit. But, also, she was there before Matt Lauer and he came on as her new co-host. I’m sure the power dynamic with her than it was with her replacements. After she left he was undeniably the lead.
I hold out hope that she, with the help of her team and family, can navigate things and end up more like Emma Watson. She’s a great young actress, and I hope like hell you end up wrong
she’s such a sweet kid. They’re going to make her into the next Amanda Bynes or Lindsay Lohan. Hell, they already had “Sexy Eleven” Halloween costumes. I hate this fucking society
bobby..for 18 years i’ve thought britney was saying “now i’m stronger than yesterday (clap clap), now it’s nothing but a mile away” and now i’m questioning everything, ever.
Sure, Millie Bobby Brown is not yet 14, but let’s immediately toss her into the slimepit of gossip as it relates to women celebrities. Stay tuned for such prurient classics as: “Is she still a virgin?” “Will she marry him?” “Are they breaking up?” “Has post-breakup Millie become a skank?”... and on and on and on.
But I can say that I would be surprised if many women did not understand that there was a climate of verbal harassment that existed [at the Today Show]. It was verbal sexual harassment.”
I want nothing so much as to go to brunch with Ann Curry. A pitcher of Bloody Marys and a fuckton of gossip. Please and thank you.
Here’s an idea, instead of wearing black to the SAG/Emmy/Oscars how about lifetime banning people like Woody, Weinstein and Polanski?
Oh very true and I applaud her for it. I’m just bracing myself for the hot takes.
People think that it’s only sexism if you’re like I don’t like her because she’s a woman. But no. It can be inherently sexist because you’re being overly critical because they’re a woman or because you think a woman should be more passive or what have you.
You’re right, but I think this will almost certainly be the final nail in the coffin for Woody Allen’s career. With all the actors and actress coming out apologizing for working with him, and donating their salaries, I don’t see him recovering when Dylan Farrow becomes a much larger public figure. Awareness will be so…
Oh agreed, the sexism coming from Star Wars discussions is super saddening.
She is brave for doing this because she will be attacked mercilessly online.
I just shared with faded flowers that I had a very similar experience with my mother. One thing it led to for me was going through my late teens and early 20s desperate to prove I could be *fun!* be the *life of the party!* I’d be the super cool chick who everyone wanted to be around and who never spoiled anyone…
Oooohhhh, I am seething right now because this was my mom too. And she’s been hospitalized for mental illness! My depression was inconvenient and upsetting to her, expressed with little to no thought to how inconvenient and upsetting it was to ME. So much “someone is touchy today”, “it’s so hard to enjoy things when…
