Yep, this was probably my favorite Girls episode ever. I think both actors killed it. I’m gonna miss Desi if he leaves after this though. I wanted to kill him but he was so fucking funny.

I wonder if PJ should have declined directing the movie. I think he knew that it’s what the fans wanted and after Del Toro left he felt obligated to take the reigns. That said, he did not get any say in the pre-production and did not get to be involved as in depth as he did on LOTR. So that was an issue.

I think crap over the source material is a bit harsh. He took liberties but it was an adaptation, so that is expected. You can’t have Faramir act as he does in the book because it kills the build up of the Rings power and influence.
