Thank you, I tried :)

I am a woman of colour. To clarify; I am classified as “coloured” in South Africa which has a different definition to the American “colored” though I reject being labelled as such since to me it is essentially a “mutt” category. My maternal family is French, Portuguese, Indian and paternal is Afrikaaner which is

I feel the same. I feel very blessed to have been born and brought up in South Africa and I would also love to give my (future) children a South African upbringing but I can’t justify/ reconcile living in that country the way it is now. Every country has problems though...

Yep :)

“highly regarded and respected” is the general consensus. Your “personally responsible” is questionable, shallow and very possibly wrong.

You have a very valid point but in this particular example, the man’s dirty laundry has been aired several times over and people are still digging through the hamper and discovering more soiled items.

I also forgot to mention he invites/ encourages this kind of satirical iconography because he uses/ misuses the spear which is part of his culture and tradition garb as a symbol of his masculinity/ penis. It’s in the vein of don’t introduce something that can be used against you.

It’s hard to answer your question without elaborating on some South African history and Zuma’s personal information. I’ve tried to address your question in asterisks and I hope that gives more insight.

Yeah you are way past rude now. It’s sad that it didn’t work out for some of your friends but there are people who are very fortunate/ blessed and find their partner early in life. Be happy for them.

Yep but sadly people vote for the party not the candidate. Those corrupt party members (practically the whole damn ANC) that elected him knew they would be benefitting from him being in power. The ANC because of history (Apartheid) still has no real opposition. Around election time there are plenty of schemes to

Dammit now I’m going to advocate for polygamy because I want to marry you!

You’re welcome. It makes my blood boil so I didn’t even go into that much detail.

Oh you can not compare the two. Believe me, as a South African, Zuma deserves every bit of ridicule he gets.

I’m a South African now a dual citizen. I could go on a tirade about Zuma but I’ll summarize that the article didn’t mention the fraud, corruption, racketeering, embezzlement and numerous other scandals. He is still under investigation.

NARS is everything. Most of their products are gold.

Sounds like he is exhausted and exasperated. When they promote new projects like a film they have to do hundreds of interviews often with the same questions being repeated and it must be frustrating. Still he should have been more professional.

I’m not sure if this is accurate but I read that they had only been dating since May or June of this year… so yeah maybe a little off but also maybe they had a very intense relationship. Since he asked the parents permission I guess they approved of him?

I really think it’s the way to go!

I agree a gift isn’t “owed” but if you do RSVP and can’t attend it is classy to give a gift especially if you are financially stable.
